Stanford Arts Initiative & Stanford Law co-present ‘Scalia/Ginsburg’ event May 13
On May 13, 2015, the Stanford Arts Institute and Stanford Law School co-present Scalia/Ginsburg: Excerpts & Panel Discussion, an interdisciplinary event featuring composer-librettist Derrick Wang, guest artists, and distinguished faculty from Stanford University. This event will take place at Dinkelspiel Auditorium from 6:30pm-8pm PDT and is free and open to the public.
Composer-librettist Derrick Wang will introduce a program of excerpts from his new opera Scalia/Ginsburg, sung by soprano Suzanne Karpov and tenor Peter Scott Drackley, followed by a panel discussion featuring:
- Paul Brest, moderator, Professor of Law, Emeritus and Former Dean, Stanford Law School
- Heather Hadlock, Associate Professor of Musicology and Director of the Program in Feminist Studies, Stanford University
- Bernadette Meyler, Professor of Law and Deane F. Johnson Faculty Scholar, Stanford Law School
- Matthew Tiews, Associate Dean for the Advancement of the Arts, School of Humanities & Sciences
