Derrick Wang could have come to any number of conclusions when he was studying constitutional law and reading the dueling opinions of United States Supreme Court Justices Antonin Scalia and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. But beyond any legal insights gained, Wang came to an artistic realization: He wanted to write an opera about the material.
